This eliminates the need to cut and modify the shell. He placed the sensor in the upper middle of the back to avoid malfunction.

How to attach a touch sensor module to an RGB30 LED Flex PCB
I've made a simple diagram for installing the touch sensor on the 'RGB30 LED Flex PCB' (since I can't draw circuit diagrams). If anyone wants to try the same, please do so at your own risk.

I installed the touch sensor for the 'RGB30 LED Flex PCB' here (on the backside). It seems like you can extend the wires if pulled from the sensor. Since the RGB30 has quite a bit of space inside, I think the positioning is quite flexible.
