I do want to see Alhaitham and Kaveh more with other genshin characters and in other environments, like Haitham working or spending his free time, or Kaveh's desert expeditions. I like it most when they interact with others because it shows different sides of them.

I'd see the greater intent of Kaveh's Character Stories is to show human fortitude. Despite how his past was fraught with pain and loss, he had found ways to surmount through friends or his own strength. For him, happiness is in the form of hope, no matter how small it is.

I do feel that Kaveh exhibits a sense of balance between rational thought while coupling the importance of empathy and emotion. Though, there are moments he gets tilted by Alhaitham's remarks. (though seems like Alhaitham alone provokes him to that stage).

Going through Nahida's 2nd SQ - I was reminded of Kaveh. Maybe that's why she thought that his type of empathy is important for Sumeru to grow as a nation. Context is very important when it comes to analysis of story and character. Not everyone has access to the same information in quality, quantity, and perspective. A person with such greater access needs to learn how to filter the information to reach others at different stages.

Alhaitham's character growth throughout the event shows how strongly he cares for Kaveh. He too learned in the end, that directly confronting Kaveh about his issues would not work, and leaving notes to communicate, helped Kaveh realize what he needed to do.

What does Alhaitham's 2nd line mean? It is what it is. The idealist tries to bring happiness to all but in the end, burdens himself. If he doesn't see beyond the folly of his act, he will stay blind and burdened. twitter.com/isralennt/stat…

ending spoilers: I'll share my final thoughts later. I'm happy with the ending and at Kaveh's realizations, at the little affirmation Alhaitham gave Kaveh (sigh), and how Kaveh still thinks so much of Alhaitham (I can feel that "Senior Kaveh" spirit from him) despite it all.

When hyv don't release a character's lore and background story before a featured event, there'd be a lot of assumptions about a character's motives and choices - then when the character is finally released, it might be difficult to rescind first impressions with that hindsight.

My first impressions of Kaveh: he's humble and principled; he seems to work well with others, his polite and his patient side comes out well because he listens before he speaks. Though, I don't think he's a people pleaser nor he's someone who's caught up in past issues either.
