@konotaromp Yes, Taro Kono, it's pretty bad. Look, if 6 cars start the race and 5 go up to 100km/h really fast, and 1 sits in idle for the first thirty laps and THEN decides to crank it to 60km/h, that one car is still gonna finish the race in last place.

@konotaromp It's bad beacause this is unnecessarily late. Now with new variants on the rise and just a tiny fraction of the population vaccinated, many people are afraid of what will happen in the coming weeks. Also, trying to book a shot in Tokyo right now is a nightmare.

@konotaromp About 6% of people in Japan are full vaccinated after 4 months. Other countries reached between 30~50%. Yes, it is bad. Tweet again about this, when Japan reached that level.

@konotaromp I’m sorry, but this is pretty bad. Just look at how long it took Japan to even start compared to those countries. You had the same amount of time, but didn’t really prepare at all, then scrambled. The vaccine roll out should have happened much sooner to make the Olympics safe.
